A Quiet Field Before the Fire
It was a hot summer afternoon in a dry open field.
Tall yellow grass covered the land while the warm sun shone brightly across the countryside. The field looked calm and peaceful, with only the sound of wind moving gently through the straw.
Hidden between the dry grass on the ground was a small fragile bird nest.
The nest was made from thin twigs and dry pieces of grass.
Inside it lay two tiny newborn birds.
Their eyes were still closed and their small mouths opened weakly as they waited for their parents.
But far in the background, something dangerous had already begun.
A wildfire had started in the dry field.
Bright orange flames slowly spread through the grass while smoke rose into the sky.
The fire was moving closer.
The Fire Moves Closer
The flames quickly began spreading through the dry straw.
Wind pushed the fire forward while sparks jumped through the grass.
Smoke filled the air as the fire moved only a few meters away from the small nest.
Inside the nest, the baby birds moved weakly.
They chirped softly, completely unaware of the danger around them.
The ground beneath them was surrounded by dry grass — the perfect fuel for the fire.
Every second, the flames moved closer.
Help Arrives
Just as the situation seemed hopeless, movement appeared above the field.
Two adult birds quickly flew toward the nest.
They landed beside their chicks, wings partially open as they looked urgently at the tiny birds inside.
The baby birds stretched their necks upward toward their parents.
Behind them, the glow of the wildfire lit the field with a deep orange color.
Smoke drifted through the air while the flames crept closer.
The parent birds understood the danger immediately.
They had to act fast.
A Brave Rescue
Without hesitation, the parent birds began their rescue.
Each bird carefully grabbed one of the chicks using its beak.
The tiny birds were lifted gently from the nest.
Behind them the flames continued spreading across the dry field.
In a powerful motion, the two parent birds spread their wings and lifted into the sky.

Escaping the Fire
High above the field, the two birds flew through the smoky air.

But far in the distance, green mountains and forests stood untouched by the fire.
The parent birds flew toward that safer place.

A Safe New Home
Soon the birds reached the mountains.
There, tall green trees filled the peaceful forest.
Sunlight filtered softly through the branches.
High on a tree branch stood another small nest.
One by one, the parent birds gently placed the baby birds inside.
The chicks rested safely while their parents stood beside them protectively.
Far away, the wildfire burned across the distant field.
But here in the mountains, the tiny birds were finally safe.
